Vaseaux Lake

"Vaseaux Lake is situated in the along the course of the Okanagan River within the beautiful Okanagan Valley,  just half an hour from the Town of Penticton.  Despite the lakes close proximity to multiple major population centres, Vaseaux Lake receives very little fishing pressure due to its status as a Migratory Bird Sanctuary.

With the Okanagan Region being one of the only regions in British Columbia where it is legal to fish for bass, Vaseaux Lake is an excellent spot to target both smallmouth and largemouth bass without the fishing pressure of typical bass lakes. In addition to its bass fishing opportunities, Vaseaux Lake is also home to large numbers of carp, making it an excellent carp fishery, especially towards the mouth of the river" (Dean Taylor)
